PLAYA DEL INGLÉS - CURVA
Meeting point for athletes, with optimal sea and wind conditions
This view is of the curve of Playa del Inglés located to the east of the Maspalomas Dunes and goes from the tip of Playa de Maspalomas to the Playa de San Agustín, both located in the south of the island of Gran Canaria.
Playa del Inglés is a great attraction for tourists who come from all over the world in search of good weather.
The beach offers an area for nudists and other areas for sports activities, both in the sea and on the sand. Beach volleyball and beach soccer championships are often held, as well as other activities.
The optimal sea and wind conditions together with the water temperature, which usually oscillates between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius, favor the practice of water sports. In Playa del Inglés sports such as surfing, bodyboarding or kitesurfing are practiced and it has several schools for these sports.
A beach that over the years, since the end of the 1950s, has developed into a large urban city, with housing estates, hotels, apartments and bungalows and all kinds of services.
Place of recreation for the islanders who have been shaping it as the beach for weekends and holidays in general.
