Playa del Inglés is a great attraction for tourists of a thousand nationalities, who come all year round in search of good weather, that is the main claim.

The beach offers an area for nudists and other areas for sports activities, in the sea and on the sand. Beach volleyball and beach soccer championships are held, as well as other activities.

The optimal sea and wind conditions together with the water temperature, which usually oscillates between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius on average, favor the practice of water sports.

In Playa del Inglés sports such as surfing, bodyboarding or kitesurfing are practiced and it has several schools for these sports. With beaches of San Agustín and Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés is part of that huge first large complex of hotels, apartments and bungalows, which formed the tourist boom of the 60s.

The world open to new ways of life, vacations, rest and leisure were invented and thus "the Swedes" arrived with their consequent way of life of a freedom never seen before on the islands. New ways of life and customs that tourism also began to take place in a society like the Canary Islands.
