Located at the foot of the emblematic Maspalomas Lighthouse and the Maspalomas Dunes, this small oasis is a refuge throughout the year for a multitude of migratory birds or some that come to spend the winter in the Canary Islands.
La Charca de Maspalomas is a place of great tourist and scientific interest.
Its size varies according to the times of the year and according to the rains and tides.
It has a depth of one and a half meters.
At the edges of the pond you will find two viewpoints where you can study or simply enjoy watching the birds in their natural habitat, the sunset with its play of lights over the pond looks like a wonderful mirror out of a picture of colors.You cannot go to the Maspalomas Lighthouse or the Dunes without strolling through the Maspalomas Charca.
