La garita beach of fine black sand

La Garita beach is located in the municipality of Telde, in the southeast of the island of Gran Canaria.
With an extension of about 250 meters where we can enjoy this beautiful shell-shaped beach, formed of fine dark volcanic sand, bathed in crystal clear waters where the blue flag flies in the summer months.
In its surroundings we can find various terraces and restaurants where good local cuisine cannot be absent, as well as the family and friendly atmosphere of this coastal neighborhood, renowned for bringing together all kinds of services in a small space and flexible hours.
At one end of the promenade is the Monument to the Swimmers, a beautiful sculpture, a work by Jose Luis Marrero worth seeing.
