Playa de las Americas
Exploring Playa de las Américas: Tourism and Fun in Arona
Playa de las Américas in Arona is the result of the tourist boom that began in the 1960s, stretching from the tourist area of Los Cristianos to the end of the Rey Ravine, near the municipality of Costa Adeje. These beaches, mostly artificial and made of imported sand from Africa, offer charm in their hidden small sections and other sections of yellow sand.
It's the perfect place for surfing, bodyboarding, sunbathing, and family outings on weekends. The beaches attract tourists all year round, thanks to the constant spring-like climate.
The area offers a variety of leisure options, including restaurants, shopping centers, and a kilometer-long promenade. This promenade is especially popular for enjoying stunning sunsets, visible from Playa Paraíso to Los Cristianos.
